“CSS Web Site Design” Finished!

My goal for the month of July was to complete Eric Meyer’s course “CSS Web Site Design” on lynda.com. And today, I finally finished the 5.88 hour course.

If you  don’t know already, lynda.com is an online educational site offering hundred of ‘courses’ in everything ‘digital’ and computer related. Even though the site is (for me) is a self education endeavor, most of the courses that I’ve taken so far are college level instruction. You could get an entire college education just by sitting in front of your computer (a Macintosh for me). In fact, some colleges use lynda.com content in their own course offerings. As a true believer in continuing education, lynda.com is a fantastic site to ‘keep up’ and ‘stay current’.

Click on the icon below and you can ‘verify’ the courses that I’ve already taken.

Since I’m paying for this education myself, I’ve made a goal of completing at least one course each month. The subscription is only $25 a month, so it’s not as heavy a financial load as ‘real’ college or university tuition, but it’s still money and the only way to justify the monthly expense is to set a monthly goal.

Next month, I believe that I’ll finish the Imovie 09 training.
