This was a true “Blender” birthday. With the cards and gifts and birthday cash that Nikki, Alex, Jacob, Stevie and Makayla gave me, I was able to buy books and magazines that were related to Blender and the 3D world. Books are the best gifts!
Nikki took the whole family to Outback for my birthday dinner, and that’s not cheap by any means (especially with all the beer that I drank). What a sweetheart!
Thanks for everyone for a great birthday.
I thought the “Bounce, Tumble and Splash” book (by Tony Mullen) I bought with the birthday gift card would be an ‘intermediate” resource that would be easy to work through and give me the knowledge I need to make water splash and wave in the tower cell animation I’m working on for Advantage. However, I found while working through the first tutorial on making a “magma ball” I still had a lot to learn in the elementary school of Blender, since the author assumes that you know a lot about ‘nodes’. What’s a node?
Still climbing the curve!
